When placing or modifying a polygon feature in Cadastral Mapping Configuration, its area is computed, stored as the property indicated on this page, and placed as part of parcel annotation. The calculated area value is linked with the units field, however, units are not required.

Type or select a name for the Area and Label Text-Features.

Turning on Area or Label Property Based Annotation lets you edit the Property Based Annotation definition to include text, VBA expressions, and others.
